ABF Travel Insurance - How to make a claim





  1. If you have an overseas medical emergency

    As soon as possible contact Travel Guard on +60 3 2772 5641 and quote the policy number that is on your certificate of insurance

  2. If you lose or have stolen your luggage, travel documents or personal effects

    Immediately report the loss or theft to the nearest police station and obtain a police report number or confirmation that the crime or loss has been reported. If necessary, replace the lost or stolen article/s with a similar item and keep the receipt of purchase. The claim must be reported within 30 days or as soon as possible thereafter.

    To report the claim contact Chartis claims on 1800 339 663, or complete and lodge the attached claim form, or log on to www.chartisinsurance.com.au and lodge the claim online.

    Please note policy limits may apply to claims in relation to money, unattended luggage and personal effects.

  3. For all other claims contact Chartis Insurance claims (within 30 days of the loss or incident or as soon as thereafter) on 1800 339 663, or complete and lodge the attached claim, or log on to www.chartisinsurance.com.au and lodge the claim online.

  4. All Claims need to be supported by original supporting receipts and documentation such as police reports, doctors reports, transport provider’s reports, receipts, valuations or proof of ownership.
