Our People

Britney has been with us for more than two years comes to TBIB with a solid foundation in business, finance, and client relations.  She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is Tier Two qualified in insurance broking. At TBIB, Britney works closely with our individual and commercial clients and our Account Managers to provide clear, tailored advice across a wide range of insurance products. She is passionate about helping clients make informed decisions and is committed to building strong, lasting relationships grounded in trust, transparency, and exceptional service.

Outside of work, Britney enjoys an active lifestyle. Whether she’s watching or playing sports – she’s a first grade and representative volleyballer – going for scenic walks with a coffee in hand, or catching up with friends while discovering new food spots, she brings the same energy and curiosity to her personal life as she does to her professional one.

 

Grace has been with TBIB for more than three years.  She is the pioneer and first Alumni of our Graduate Training Programme and has become an impressive young insurance broker.

Grace Holds a B.Bus Management degree and is a Tier One Qualified Insurance Broker.

As well as being an integral part of our Commercial Broking focus, Grace manages and trains our Graduate Programme team.  She is extremely active outside of work and loves discovering and creating good food.

Eileen holds a Bachelor of Business with a major in Marketing and has been part of the team since 2023 as a Broker Administration Assistant, supporting the TBIB Asia team and helping maintain smooth daily operations. Eileen is the very personification of the quiet achieverm.

Eileen enjoys staying active with Pilates and spending quality time with friends and family.  Rumour has it she makes a world class Penne ala Vodka

Sean has more than two and a half decades of experience in insurance broking, and is active in the broader industry as a board member, mentor and Past-President of the Queensland Brokers Council (CQIB). More recently Sean has assisted large insurers – such as Lloyds of London in the design and distribution of a range of insurance products used by thousands of people right across Australia.

All of this helps Sean, and the team at TBIB, to be able to provide well-informed advice and exceptional service to TBIB clients. He also performs a critical advocacy function on behalf of TBIB clients in complex underwriting and claims matters.

Sean holds a range of qualifications including Dip Financial Services (Insurance Broking), Bachelor of Arts and Economics, GD Applied Finance & Investment, and Associate of the Securities Institute of Australia.

Sean is an assertive golfer and a passionate motor racer and would like to do both of these a lot more – once we tick a few more things off the to-do list.

Steve has nearly 50 years experience in insurance broking, underwriting and claims management. It’s hard to think of a situation Steve hasn’t encountered before and TBIB’s commercial clients benefit from this experience in getting the right cover at the right price, but more importantly when a claim needs to be handled properly.

Steve Holds a Dip Financial Services (Insurance Broking), and has unmatched experience in Rural, Commercial and Association/NFP business. Steve really knows his stuff and is happy to get hands on in his work with his clients.  Steve also heads up our Travel Insurance focus which looks after a multitude of clients across the country.

Personally, if it involves sport (or indeed anything competitive at all), music or travel, you can bet Steve has been there, done that, can hum the song and knows what he is talking about.

Raymond Wong has been an insurance broker for nearly 40 years, and has become a staple of the Brisbane Chinese and Asian business community.  During this time he has served businesses, property owners and restauranteurs and many of these clients are in business today because Raymond had them covered.

Raymond is a skilled gardener, and even more skilled mah-jong player and doesn’t mind an occasional spot of karaoke.

Gerald is our National Manager of Sales and Development and has nearly two decades of experience as an underwriter and a broker.  He has demonstrated skill in Commercial Property, Liability & Financial lines and applies his broad experience to our clients all over the country.

Gerald has served on both the NIBA and CQIB Young Professionals committees and holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking).

Personally, he’s a passionate traveller, a lover of good food and a quality tipple and loves getting off the beaten track.

Gerald is a pro, he’s a pleasure to deal with and is great to have him on the team.

After graduating with a Bachelor of International Business Relations, followed by two years living and working in Japan, Jodi worked in University Administration and events management for over 20 years.

Jodi joined the family business in 2014 and applies her skills and experience as the Operations and Finance Manager at TBIB, as well as our Senior Travel Insurance Broker.

After conquering many of the great walks in South East Queensland, Tasmania and New Zealand’s famous Milford Track, Jodi is currently searching for her next hiking adventure.

Yanfi has 20 years of Commercial and Domestic insurance broking experience, more than 10 of which have been with TBIB. Yanfi is Sean’s Executive Broker and sidekick. Working across an array of specialities for our commercial clients, Yanfi also assists our associate office TBIB Asia with our bespoke Asian commercial insurance packages.

Yanfi holds a Dip Financial Services (Insurance Broking), and is constantly endeavouring to curate and apply changing industry knowledge to provide the most comprehensive cover for clients. Yanfi is a high quality commercial broker and works diligently on behalf of her clients.

With aspirations to complete a self-confessed, mile-long bucket list of dream travel destinations; Yanfi escapes into a long list of good reads in the meantime.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Business, with a major in Accounting, Jodie worked in the Real Estate Development sector for 16 years. Jodie joined TBIB in 2016, and after working as an broker administration assistant has for some time now been our Claims Manager which is an increasingly busy department at TBIB.  

With a household of highly energetic boys, Jodie juggles busy with a boisterous family life, making the most of girls-only downtime when the opportunity presents.

Lachlan has his background as an investment and fund manager and financial adviser. In recent times, Lachlan has managed significant Not For Profit public organisations, and currently serves on the board of a number of charities. He holds an MBA and ASIA as well as a Grad Dip. Fin Planning and is a Tier One qualified Insurance Broker.

Lachlan works with the senior team on TBIB’s strategy, processes and marketing, with an objective of keeping TBIB at the top of its game.

On any given weekend you can find him paddling a river or hiking a trail with family in tow. Lachlan loves putting good food in front of people and is a passable musician – but not as good as Josh.

Josh has quietly racked up more than 20 years in the insurance industry, both as an underwriter and broker, and has been a part of the TBIB team for ten years.

Josh is  a Diploma qualified broker, who manages a broad portfolio including Domestic, Rural, Travel and Associate Partner products.

Outside the office, he’s a world-class musician, family man and smokes a first rate brisket.  Josh really knows his stuff, he looks after his clients and on top of that, he manages to keep us all smiling.

Zyra joined us in September 2018. She is a Tier One qualified insurance broker and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Marketing. Zyra has more than 13 years’ experience in general insurance.

She enjoys travelling and making lots of memories with family and friends. “Travelling makes me richer with the lovely people that I met and the memories I made as my souvenirs.”

Ondy Cheng has a background in design and has been an insurance broker since 2009.  He has become a well-known specialist in the Chinese business community and is making a name for himself in time attack motor racing.

Ondy has a young family and manages to juggle family and work better than most.  He’s an impressive and competent face of TBIB in the fast growing Asian business community.

Amanda has been working as an accountant since 2015 and joined the TBIB team in 2021.

She has an MBA with Honours, is a CPA and  brings an impressive range of skill, dedication and enthusiasm to work.  Amanda is an Account Manager in her own right and manages multiple teams. She is multilingual and has useful hands-on experience in both the private and not for profit sectors. She is active in the community in the little free time she has – she is the youngest charter member of Lions Club of Brisbane United Asia Business chapter and has been the Secretary and Treasurer since chartered.

Amanda is fun and energetic and has an impressive collection of animals on her desk.  It’s great to have her on the team.
